The Australia Centre for Quantum Growth - Quantum Australia WA node serves as a pivotal hub for collaboration among key leaders in academia, industry, and government. Its mission is to accelerate the development and adoption of quantum technologies, empowering Australia, and particularly Western Australia, to take a leadership role in the rapidly evolving global quantum ecosystem.

Through its initiatives, the WA node bridges the gap between curiosity and advocacy, guiding individuals and organizations along the journey from understanding quantum potential to championing its applications. By connecting researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders, it drives the adoption of quantum solutions that address critical challenges and unlock new opportunities across diverse sectors.

The WA node aims to nurture a vibrant ecosystem of quantum innovators and entrepreneurs. It aspires to make Western Australia a cornerstone of the global quantum ecosystem, ensuring the region plays a leading role in driving innovation and creating meaningful impact on the world stage.

About the opportunity

  • Lead the development of R&D partnerships, industry and government collaborations, and initiatives that elevate Western Australia's role in the national and global quantum ecosystem.
  • Act as a liaison between academia, industry, and policymakers to promote quantum technology adoption, secure funding, support student internships, and build a collaborative quantum community.
  • Advise the WA Node Lead, enhance partnership frameworks, contribute to proposal development, and manage operations in alignment with university and Quantum Australia policies.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent competency.
  • Substantial and extensive relevant experience in business development, partnership management, and industry engagement across industry, academia, or government.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage academic partnership programs, including securing funding.
  • Experience partnering with industry and/or government to deliver projects with mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Financial management experience and literacy, experience developing budgets and controlling income and expenditure.
