About the role

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with a strong background in the Internet Service Provider industry to elevate our network capabilities. The role demands proficiency in designing, installing, and maintaining network infrastructures. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in routing, switching, and developing Wi-Fi hotspot solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing the ISP core network's operation, maintenance, optimization, upgrades, installation, configuration, and management of network hardware and software, providing essential technical support.

Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, and promptly address support tickets escalated to Network Engineering.

Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.

Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing enterprise network solutions across LAN, WAN, wireless and cloud.

Develop, diagnose, and optimize Wi-Fi hotspot solutions for diverse environments such as hotels and shopping malls, focusing on network performance and access point configurations.

Perform on-site installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network systems in hotels, shopping malls, and data centres.

Monitor network performance using tools such as Zabbix, Grafana and Wireshark to ensure system availability and reliability.

Complete all allocated tasks and projects within agreed timelines, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones and goals.

Serve on the Network Engineering team's on-call rotation, prepared for on-site intervention in case of emergencies

Ensure all changes are implemented according to the change process and Network Engineering MOP guidelines, and document network deployment to maintain up-to-date records of network configurations.

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of networking protocols and services(TCP/IP, IPSEC, BGP, 802.11, QoS, IPv6, Radius, DNS, DHCP).

Proven work experience as a Network Engineer in an Internet Service Provider.

Proven experience as a Network Engineer with hands-on proficiency in Cisco, Fortinet, Ruckus, and Unifi network equipment, specializing in Cisco and Fortinet environments.

Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi hotspot solutions, particularly in hotel and shopping mall settings.

Ability to conduct on-site equipment installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.

Proficient with network monitoring and analysis tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, Wireshark, and NetFlow.

Be proficient in network monitoring, auditing and reporting, backhaul & international routing management

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

Requirements:

8+ years of relevant experience working as a network engineer.

Degree in computer systems & networking, information systems or equivalent. Relevant industry/vendor certifications such as Cisco CCNA or CCNP may substitute for the formal qualification.

Fortinet FCP Network Security or FCSS Network Security or equivalent NSE certification is desirable.
