Position Details

  • Full-Time, Permanent Position
  • Classification: SCHADS Level 5 with a salary range of: $97,476 - $101,883 per annum + Superannuation
  • Salary packaging arrangements providing tax benefits available for living and entertainment expenses increasing your take home income where part of your wage is paid tax free each pay, savings thousands in tax each year
  • Location: Women's and Wellbeing Service, Townsville, QLD

About your new role

The Senior Practice Leader works in close partnership with the Senior Manager Operations to provide leadership, practice development and coaching sessions to service delivery staff. This position provides instruction and guidance on practice issues to a number of Women's Health and Wellbeing Coaches and possible Peer Support Workers, applying coaching and mentoring principles. In addition, you will work with the SMO to maintain strong working partnerships with the Townsville Hospital and Health Service, Women's Health, and other community partner organisations to deliver the best possible comprehensive service to consumers. The role will be based in Townsville, located at Neami Medicare Mental Health Service, with an expectation of a minimum of 3 days per week working from this location. Additional hours can be hybrid by negotiation.

What you will bring to the role

  • Experience working in women's health, gender specific services and hold an understanding of the effects of violence to women.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and empower team members through coaching and mentioning.
  • Uphold ethical behaviour, consistent with the values of honesty, fairness, responsibility and hope.
  • Demonstrate integrity, credibility and foster open communication.
  • Positively listens and consults with others to proactively address conflict.

What the role requires

  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (police check) - disclosable outcomes considered
  • Current Working with Children Check - required before commencement of work
  • Current Australian drivers licence and access to a car
  • Australian working rights
