Full Time contract commencing June 2025 for 12 months

About the Position

The Data Quality Project Officer is responsible to assess, improve, and maintain the quality of customer data within One Council, in particular the Name and Address Register (NAR). This role involves identifying and addressing duplicate records, implementing data cleansing and governance frameworks, and ensuring compliance with agreed standards. The role also involves enhancing systems, processes and providing internal training.

This position reports to the Team Leader Corporate Information Management.

Key Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstrated experience in data governance, data quality frameworks, and the application of data validation and cleansing practices in a professional environment.
2. Proven ability to analyse large organisational datasets, identify anomalies, and use root cause analysis to recommend and implement data quality improvements.
3. Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to ensure high levels of accuracy in data entry, reporting, and auditing processes.
4. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with experience in collaborating with key stakeholders to resolve data quality issues.
