About the role
We are looking for an experienced Family Support Worker who can build strong relationships with families, adapt to their evolving needs, and ensure the safety and well-being of children. A solid understanding of child protection is key.
Enjoy a consistent Sunday shift each week, with the opportunity to pick up extra shifts in nearby suburbs!

  • Monitor family time to ensure a safe and supportive environment for the children
  • Model positive parenting practices and support the development of healthy, meaningful family relationships
  • Fulfil all required compliance, documentation, and reporting responsibilities
  • Promote positive interaction and engagement between parents and children
  • Provide trauma-informed care by offering comfort, reassurance, and redirection as needed

About you

  • Strong report writing skills with experience preparing documentation suitable for court proceedings
  • Demonstrated experience working with children impacted by trauma, using a trauma-informed approach
  • Skilled in identifying signs of child abuse and responding appropriately in line with reporting protocols
  • Possesses a valid Australian Driver’s License and access to a reliable, fully insured vehicle
  • Currently holds, or is willing to obtain, a NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
