Aspect Personnel are currently working with a council in Melbourne's West to recruit a Facilities Management Coordinator.

This is a great opportunity to step into a leadership role with one of Victoria's fastest growing municipalities. The role will be an initial 3 month contract.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the planning, compliance, and delivery of maintenance and renewal projects across Council’s diverse portfolio of facilities.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for:

• Develop and lead long-term strategies for facility maintenance and renewals across the municipality.
• Ensure compliance with essential services, building codes, Australian Standards, and Council policies.
• Oversee project scoping, planning, and delivery of the annual renewals program.
• Lead, coach and support a high-performing team.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including community groups, contractors, and other Council departments.
• Manage budgets, reporting, and performance against key metrics.
• Develop and maintain systems that ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Embed risk management and safety practices in everyday operations.

As the ideal candidate you will have:

• Tertiary and/or trade qualifications in facilities management, building services, or a related field.
• Proven experience in leading facility operations across multiple sites, ideally in local government or a similar environment.
• Strong understanding of compliance, asset management principles, and contractor management.
• Excellent leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Sound financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and reporting performance
