RM Group is seeking a Superintendent to oversee multiple live construction projects, related to water and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

This role demands strong leadership, a deep understanding of civil construction practices, and familiarity with the unique challenges of water infrastructure projects.

The salary for this position is $150k-$180k + company car, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all civil construction activities on water and wastewater treatment plant projects, including earthworks, concrete structures, piping, and utility installation.
• Ensure strict adherence to project schedules, safety protocols, quality control, and environmental regulations.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and problem resolution.
• Conduct daily site inspections and toolbox talks to enforce safety and promote a high-quality standard.
• Manage and mentor field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain productivity and morale.
• Monitor project costs and resource allocation, identifying opportunities for improved efficiency and value engineering.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and inspectors to facilitate smooth project progress and issue resolution.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience in civil construction, preferably with a focus on water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Safety supervisors certificate (advantageous)
• Leading and managing complex, multi-phase construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of concrete structures, formwork, rebar, excavation, dewatering, and underground utilities.
• Solid understanding of safety management systems (HSE regulations).
• Ability to read and interpret civil and structural drawings and project specifications.
• Competent in using construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant trade qualification or civil engineering background preferred.
