We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Leading Foreman/Supervisor to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of ongoing and future projects.

Job Description:

As a Leading Foreman/Supervisor in civil construction, you will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction sites. You will ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of all tasks while maintaining strong communication with all stakeholders involved in the project.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Manage a team of workers, subcontractors, and suppliers, providing direction and guidance to ensure work is performed to the highest standards.

Monitor and enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies on-site.

Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.

Ensure all materials, equipment, and resources are available and utilised effectively.

Lead daily briefings, site meetings, and progress reviews with the project team.

Assist in the planning and scheduling of construction activities.

Ensure quality control standards are met and maintained.

Provide on-site problem-solving and resolve any issues as they arise.

Report directly to the Site Manager or Project Manager regarding progress, delays, and any potential concerns.

Maintain accurate documentation, including work logs, reports, and timesheets.

Operate GPS equipment to track project progress, manage site layout, and assist in the management of construction machinery and resources.

Use a laser level to accurately check and verify levels for various site activities, including foundations, roadways, drainage, and other critical elements to ensure proper alignment and elevation.

Operate civil machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders, and ensure safe and efficient operation during construction activities.

Hold relevant tickets and certifications for operating civil machinery and equipment.

Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum 9 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

GPS experience is a must – candidates should be familiar with GPS equipment for site layout, machine control, and progress tracking.

Experience using a laser level to check and verify levels – a fundamental skill to ensure precision in site preparation and construction tasks.

Ability to operate civil machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders safely and effectively.

Relevant tickets and certifications for operating civil machinery are required (e.g., Excavator License, Skid Steer Ticket, or similar).

Extensive knowledge of civil construction processes, including site preparation, excavation, concrete, drainage, and roadwork.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications.

In-depth understanding of safety procedures, compliance standards, and regulations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (e.g., Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar).

First Aid/CPR certification (desirable).

Additional Benefits:

Company Ute will be provided after 3 months of employment.

Competitive salary range of $120,000 - $140,000 per year.

Monday to Friday working hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
