About the Job

Dandenong Area

We’re looking for New or Experienced Occupational Therapists to help us service our members within 20 to 30 minutes of great Dandenong (primarily around Springvale, Cranbourne and Berwick, and sometimes Malvern or Frankston). You’ll be joining forces with our nearby Directing Occupational Therapist and Senior Physiotherapist to deliver our holistic allied health and support work services

Paediatric and Young Adult Caseload

Our Directing Occupational Therapist will be helping you with a predominantly paediatric and young adult caseload, as this is our OT area of expertise. Other OT areas are on the cards, but this is the area of OT where we have the most connections and experience.

We believe in being upfront about compensation. Unlike some, we're laying it all out so you know exactly what to expect.

We have opportunities for both experienced therapists (18 months+ experience) and new graduates, with packages designed to recognise your skills and contribution.

For Experienced Therapists (Based on 1 FTE or 5 days/week):

Typical Total Remuneration Package: $112,000+ (see below)

Guaranteed Base Salary: No less than $85,000.

Superannuation: $10,000+ (with potential for more based on commission).

Dedicated Professional Development: $2,000 yearly reimbursement to invest in your growth.

Significant Travel Support: Typically $5,000 to $10,000 per year (kilometre reimbursement).

Performance-Based Incentives: Commission and bonus system with a typical earning potential of $10,000 per year once your caseload is full.

For New Graduates (Based on 1 FTE or 5 days/week):

Typical Total Remuneration Package: $87,500+ (see below)

Solid Starting Salary: No less than $70,000.

Superannuation: $8,500+ (with potential for more based on commission).

Investment in Your Future: $2,000 yearly PD Reimbursement.

Travel Reimbursement: Typically $5,000 to $10,000 per year.

Commission and Bonus Potential: Typically $5,000 per year once your caseload is full.

We are committed to your professional development and well-being:

For New Graduates: Benefit from strong and supportive supervision (minimum 1 hour face-to-face weekly for the first 3-6 months or as required), alongside internal training and external PD opportunities.

For Experienced Therapists: Receive regular supervision (typically 1 hour fortnightly or as required), plus ongoing internal and external professional development.

As an Ascend Therapist, your days will involve:

Providing high-quality community-based therapy (aiming for approximately 4-4.5 chargeable hours daily).

Mentoring and coaching our passionate university student support workers, helping them develop crucial soft skills and contribute to our members' well-being.

Contributing to the organisation and delivery of training programs.

Liaising with and providing comprehensive support to our members.
