About the Role
The Hospitality Services Team Leader provides essential services to each home, working across cleaning, kitchen and laundry services. Candidates will be enthusiastic, have good communication skills, enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams and have the ability to;
Supervise, assign duties and work within a team to ensure provision of quality catering, cleaning and laundry services in a home like environment for residents, their family and friends.
Assist residents to attain and maintain their optimum degree of independence, dignity, privacy and quality of life.
Ensure resident choice and preferences, meal presentation and the dining experience is optimized in line with the EDEN philosophy.
Ensure staff follow food handling and safety standards including that procedures are always achieved.
Regularly monitor compliance of staff to ensure correct residents receive meals in line with their Dietary Profiles, Special and Texture Modified Diets. Liaise regularly with Dieticians and Speech Therapists to ensure any changes are implemented as specified.
Ensure staff provide a customer focused approach across all services including demonstrating cooperation and teamwork with Care and other department staff.
Attend and participate in Resident and Site Leadership Team meetings as required.
Ensure cleaning (including high and deep cleaning) is conducted to required standard and frequency. Personally, manage outbreak controls and special processes for compliance.
Contribute to Hospitality staff appraisal/performance management as required by Manager.
Provide education to hospitality staff and others as required liaising with Commercial Hospitality management and Quality officers for resources and priorities.
About You
Demonstrated ability to lead a customer focused team in catering, cleaning and laundry services.
Demonstrated ability to work in a medium scale commercial kitchen. Experience in a Health Care setting environment will be well regarded.
Demonstrated compassion and respect for residents, colleagues, and visitors. Demonstrated ability to supervise a medium sized diverse work force and to work in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to create a positive and enthusiastic team environment.
Ability to communicate/liaise with internal and external contractors supporting hospitality services.
