We're looking for a friendly and efficient person to join our growing team!

The role is a Casual or Part Time position, approx. 20-25 hours per week. Responsibilities will include organising appointments, maintaining records and performing tasks in order to ensure a smooth and efficient functioning of the practice and providing an exceptional standard of care to our patients.

Ideally we're seeking a senior receptionist, who has had experience in general practice. If you haven't had any GP experience but are keen to learn, we're willing to train the right person. You'll need enthusiasm and flexibility, and be quick to learn.

Your main responsibilities include

Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments.

Medicare, DVA, Workcover and private billing.

Supporting the doctors, practice manager and nurses in administrative duties

Maintaining confidentiality at all times

Communication with referring doctors, hospital staff and pharmacies

Managing the waiting room

Paddington Medical Centre is a well established and independently owned practice in central Brisbane. We're looking for an enthusiastic, friendly individual to join us in our busy clinic.

As the successful applicant you will have

Previous experience in the general practice setting (preferably 2 years +)

Good understanding of Medicare and private billing.

Good computer skills and previous experience with medical software (we use Best Practice)

Ability to multi task and work efficiently in a busy environment.

Proven ability to use your initiative

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
