The Opportunity:

Reporting to Finance Director, Corporate Development and Compliance International, the Internal Audit Compliance Manager – APAC will serve as the Asia Pacific (AP) internal controls and compliance leader by providing professional expertise related to internal control design, assess training, testing and communication.

Location and Compensation

Based in Blackburn, Melbourne

Full-time position with a salary range of $150,000 to $155,000 + superannuation

You will be responsible to:

Communicate and ensure performance of all corporate compliance actions including annual design assessments and testing.

Work with individuals and process owners to identify, analyze and evaluate “key” controls and related testing steps and process flows.

Evaluate results and report recommendations to management. Provide leadership in initiating improvements.

Be proactive in the design and documentation of strong internal controls prior to implementation of new processes or systems applications.

Provide SOX-related consultation and expertise for process owners throughout EMEA to ensure financial compliance.

Communicate and implement the Allegion approach for Section 404 compliance throughout the AP region to include the Standards of Internal Control.

Coordinate and oversee periodic internal control testing. Evaluate findings and monitor the cycle of creation of action plans to issue remediation.

Liaise with internal and external auditors regarding quarterly and annual audits.

Monitor all open audit issues and work closely with process owners in the regions to remediate all issues.

Work with new acquisitions to complete compliance integrations and project manage any compliance gaps to completion.

Support Finance Director, Corporate Development and Compliance, International on rolling out all accounting and policy changes to new acquisitions.

Prepare monthly reports for senior management

Assist with rollout of any new compliance management system

What will make you succeed in this role?

BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting

5+ years general accounting and financial reporting experience.

Relevant experience demonstrating an aptitude for analyzing systems, processes and operational procedures.

Strong understanding of auditing procedures and information technology general computer control concepts.

Strong financial systems experience.

Auditing and Big Four experience preferable.

Knowledge of US GAAP

Project management experience with the ability to work independently on special projects and complex assignments.

Strong verbal and documentation skills required. SOX documentation and testing experience is a definite plus.

Proficient in MS digital tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
