RESTAURANT MANAGER

The Flying Horse in Warrnambool is seeking an experienced Full Time Restaurant Manager to provide a warm welcome and impeccable service to our customers.

At the Flying Horse, we pride ourselves on quality food, beverage and customer service and are looking for an experienced hospitality professional to join our team full time. We are currently seeking applications from experienced candidates looking to take the next step in their career. This is a full time, 38 hour per week role.

About the role:

Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will co-ordinate functions and supervise general restaurant operations.

• Oversee general restaurant operations

• Organise and co-ordinate functions as required

• Create a budget for the restaurant and price food and beverage items in accordance with it

• Conduct inventory control of supplies

• Liaise with suppliers and place orders as necessary

• Ensure the premises remains complaint with all relevant health regulations

• Hire and supervise restaurant staff, conducting training as required

• Assist front of house staff as necessary with greeting guests and taking reservations

• Communicate with patrons to ensure a high-quality service and satisfaction upon completion of meals

Ideally you will have:

• Previous supervisory experience in running successful functions and a busy restaurant.

• Outstanding customer service and engagement and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

• The ability to lead by example, with drive, enthusiasm and attention to detail.

The successful candidate will:

• Have previous experience in providing exceptional customer service in a supervisory role.

• Have previous hospitality experience.

• Be adept at maintaining a positive team environment.

• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Display exceptional presentation and grooming standards.

• Have a flexible approach, with availability including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

• Hold a current RSA.

• Have successfully completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Hospitality however at least three years of relevant work experience may substitute the formal qualification.

Salary:

Salary for this Full Time position is within the range of $70,000 - $75,000 dependent on skills and experience.
