Salary: $150,000 - $175,000 (Dependent on Experience)

DC Search has partnered with a leading company in the renewable energy sector to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Plant Manager on a solar farm near Chinchilla, QLD. In this role, you will play a key part in leading the operations and maintenance (O&M) of the solar farm, ensuring it operates at maximum capacity.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Oversee the full scope of operations and maintenance activities on-site, ensuring alignment with business goals and a strong focus on safety.

Plan and coordinate daily maintenance workflows, allocating resources effectively to meet deadlines and operational targets.

Track and optimise the performance of all plant systems — including inverters, solar panels, and electrical infrastructure — through SCADA and other monitoring platforms.

Design and implement both preventive and reactive maintenance strategies to maximise plant uptime and efficiency.

Lead a team of technicians by providing guidance, fostering a proactive safety culture, and encouraging continuous professional development.

Take charge during both scheduled and unexpected outages, working to quickly troubleshoot and restore systems with minimal disruption.

Maintain compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Liaise with OEMs, contractors, and third-party service providers under existing long-term service agreements to ensure smooth operations.

Key Requirements:

Cert III in Electrical Engineering

A Grade Electrical License (QLD) OR Mutual Recognition

Australian Driver’s License

HV Switching (Must Have) with experience

White Card

LVR CPR
