Acecom Fire & Security is a locally owned and operated company with offices in both Darwin & Alice Springs, dedicated to servicing the Northern Territory. Acecom is a leading provider of high-quality Wet & Dry Fire Protection Systems, Electronic Security, Data, Nurse-call, CCTV, Access Control & Intercom systems.

Acecom NT is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Technician to join our team in Darwin. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of security, telecommunication and electronic equipment within the Darwin region.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation, repair, and maintenance of electronic equipment.

Diagnosing faults in telecommunications and data equipment using instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters, and transmission testing tools.

Adjusting, repairing, or replacing faulty components, followed by performance testing with electronic diagnostic equipment.

Installing data and fibre optic cabling to support communication and security systems.

Terminating and testing copper and fibre cabling in accordance with industry standards.

Reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications for installations and fault-finding.

Installing and maintaining network racks, patch panels, and associated infrastructure.

Ensuring all work complies with relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Collaborating with other trades and project teams to deliver integrated ICT solutions on-site.

Requirements:

At least 4 years relevant experience in telecommunication related products

Relevant experience in telecommunication instructed cabling related products

Proven experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of security & electronic equipment

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication skills

Willingness to work in remote areas.

Currently hold White Card, Drivers Licence, and Working with Children Card.
