About the Role
Our client is a leading road freight company with extensive interstate operations and a long history of demonstrated excellence within the industry. They are seeking an experienced and skilled tradesperson to join their Brisbane team based in Beenleigh. This role is critical in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of the fleet, and the successful candidate will ensure maintenance, servicing, and repairs of heavy vehicles as part of the fleet maintenance team

Key Responsibilities:

Completing timely and effective maintenance and servicing of heavy vehicles to uphold safety and compliance standards.

Be a part of a small team, including experienced tradespeople and apprentices, to drive productivity and skills development.

Complete diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance of a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles to minimize downtime.

Coordinate parts, tools, and resources to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the workshop.

Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe and organised workspace.

Qualifications and Experience:

Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic.

Experience working with Cummins engines.

Demonstrated experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, repair, and servicing, with a strong knowledge of diesel engines and related systems.

Proven experience working in small teams, including mentoring, and developing apprentices.

Strong ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication, with a commitment to maintaining high standards in safety and service quality.

Strong focus on safety and quality standards.
