About the role

NT Health is seeking a strategic and experienced finance executive to lead its financial services division. As Chief Finance Officer, you will oversee financial operations for the Northern Territory’s public health system, delivering strong performance and high-level strategic advice in a complex and cross-cultural environment.

Lead the delivery of system-wide finance strategy, planning, reporting and analytics

Manage a $2.3 billion organisational budget and a $15 million departmental budget

Oversee more than 100 full-time staff delivering services across the Territory

Deliver expert financial operational advice and budget development, control and forecasting

Provide leadership across finance, business and information services

Develop and maintain systems for risk identification, assessment, and mitigation

Advise on complex financial and business issues affecting the public health system

Skills & Experience

Extensive executive-level experience leading high-performing finance teams

Deep knowledge of financial management legislation, funding models and national trends

Proven ability to translate complex financial concepts into practical, actionable solutions

Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to communicate with influence and build organisational capability

Highly Regarded

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting

Eligibility for CPA or CA accreditation
