Vanilla Blue, an award-winning Sydney-based catering company, is seeking a dedicated Canteen Manager to join our vibrant team in Roseville NSW 2069. The successful applicant will be joining a long established canteen in our Schools division. The canteen has a mix of new and tenured staff, a fresh cafe-style menu, and the support of our experienced operations teams to build a great canteen serving nourishing meals to students at a leading private school.

The Details

Permanent Part-Time, Monday to Friday,

38 hours per week, between 6.30am to 3pm

Have school holidays off, no weekends or evening shifts

Responsibilities

Lead daily site operations, in a fast-paced and high energy environment

Elevate canteen merchandising and seasonal promotions

Stock control and management, monitor COGS

Develop and inspire staff through training and building trust

Champion food safety compliance

Drive reporting and quality control

Achieve sales, wage, and cost of goods targets

To be successful

Previous experience in opening & closing in a canteen or cafe setting

Cash handling, balancing and reporting experience

Ability to support and develop the skills of their team

Basic understanding of COGS and labour budgets

Front of house experience, customer service and POS machines

Basic food preparation skills

Basic computer literacy - Word and Excel

Currently have, or be willing to obtain, Working With Children's Check, NSW Police Check, Food Handling Cert, Food Allergens Cert
