Our client is a well-known global logistics company providing packaged delivery across the country. They are seeking a skilled and safety-driven Driver Trainer to join their team and support their commitment to best-in-class driver performance, safety, and compliance. In this vital role, you’ll assess and train drivers across various sites while championing a Drive to ZERO safety leadership journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct driver assessments on the road and at customer sites

Evaluate the skills, knowledge, and competency of both new and existing drivers across a variety of truck types

Facilitate training in fatigue management, load restraint, driver upskilling, and annual reassessments

Develop and deliver tailored training materials for different sites and operations

Prepare detailed written reports following driver assessments, providing recommendations to HR, Operations, and Labour Hire partners

Maintain accurate and timely documentation and upload assessment results to the database

Support and coordinate training schedules in collaboration with the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (HSW) team

Identify, report, and escalate safety concerns promptly, contributing to a proactive safety culture

Maintain up-to-date qualifications, certifications, and participate in ongoing professional training

Assist in the implementation of new technologies, policies, and procedures to improve safety and service delivery

Champion and model professionalism and positive engagement with all internal and external stakeholders

About You:

Proven experience in driver training and assessment

Strong knowledge of transport safety regulations and compliance

Ability to train across multiple truck types and product categories

Confident in facilitating both group and one-on-one training sessions

Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills

Committed to safety, continuous improvement, and a positive team culture

Relevant certifications in driver training, fatigue management, and load restraint

Comfortable working across multiple sites and adapting to varying operational needs
