As one of the largest employers in the NT, our client who supply the water, electricity generation and retail services across the region are currently seeking a highly organised and vibrant Diversity and Inclusion Advisor to join our client's team for a 12-month temp contract commencing immediately!

About the Role
In this role, you will support the delivery and implementation of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) initiatives by coordinating activities, assisting with communication and engagement efforts, and providing operational support. Your efforts will ensure that inclusive practices are embedded across the organisation, aligning with our broader People, Culture and Safety priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Diversity & Inclusion Support
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with employees and managers to support D&I initiatives.
• Coordinate and implement D&I programs, including scheduling, logistics, and resource materials.
• Assist in delivering engagement and communication activities to promote diversity and inclusion practices.
• Provide basic guidance and respond to general enquiries related to D&I policies and initiatives.
• Assist People, Culture and Safety Business Partners with practical tasks to help embed inclusive practices at the team level.
• Escalate issues or risks to appropriate advisors or managers for resolution.

Practice and Planning
• Assist with the rollout of D&I activities in line with broader legislative and policy requirements, including support with documentation and administrative processes.
• Contribute to team efforts that promote inclusive recruitment, retention, and development by gathering data or providing logistical support for programs.
• Support the coordination and logistics of employee networks and advocate group meetings.
• Assist in planning and coordinating support for cultural events in collaboration with the Corporate Affairs team and other stakeholders.
• Provide input into planning tools and templates to support business readiness and ensure timely delivery of D&I-related activities.
• Assist with collecting and compiling feedback or evaluation data on D&I initiatives for reporting and improvement.

Communication
• Contribute to the development of internal communication materials to promote D&I initiatives, including emails, posters, intranet updates, and other resources.
• Help ensure timely dissemination of D&I messages and assist in monitoring staff engagement with communication channels.
• Maintain awareness of broader team and business activities to support D&I messaging alignment.

Projects
• Support the execution of diversity-related projects and work programs, under the guidance of senior advisors or the Senior Manager.
• Coordinate tasks, track timelines, and maintain project documentation to support effective delivery.
• Assist in meeting compliance and reporting requirements for D&I activities.
• Ensure documentation is aligned with other People, Culture and Safety programs and shared in appropriate systems or locations.

What you need to succeed:
• Qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Must have 2+ years' experience in Human Resources or in a similar role.
• Must be competent using Microsoft Office Suite including word, PowerPoint and excel.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Passion for promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
• Must be culturally sensitive and maintain an empathetic approach to topics.

• Attractive hourly rate of $77 p/h + Super
• 12-month temp contract with the possibility of extension
• Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
• Darwin city location
