Position Overview:
As a full time chef you will be the driving force behind our kitchen operations, overseeing daily culinary activities. working with the head chef and management team. You will be responsible for crafting high-quality dishes that aligns with our restaurant whilst ensuring consistency and excellence on every plate.
Key Responsibilities:
Menu Development: Update the menu with innovative dishes that highlight seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and manage kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation.
Quality Control: Ensure every dish meets our standards for taste, presentation, and quality.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, ensuring accurate recording of use and wastage, order supplies, and manage food costs to optimise profitability.
Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaboration: Work closely with management to enhance the overall dining experience.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a chef in a high-quality/fine-dining restaurant environment of 5+ years.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
Deep experience on the grill, vegetable, sauce & pantry sections in a commercial kitchen.
Experience with European cooking styles particularly French.
Butchering skills are highly regarded.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
Excellent presentation skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation practices, and kitchen management.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
