About the role

The Basketball Lab Underwood Pty Ltd is seeking a Basketball Trainer to join our team in Underwood, QLD. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality basketball training and instruction to players of all ages and skill levels.

What you'll be doing

Implementing and teaching basketball drills, exercises, and training sessions that help players develop their skills, technique, and game understanding

Providing constructive feedback for players to improve their performance

Organising and overseeing individual and group training sessions

Monitoring player progress and adjusting training plans as needed

Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all participants

Collaborating with the broader team to enhance the overall basketball development program

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a basketball trainer or coach, with a strong understanding of the sport and the ability to effectively teach technical details

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire players of all ages and skill levels

A passion for player development and a commitment to helping athletes reach their full potential

Flexibility to work a range of hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of our programs (Academy sessions: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 5:00pm - 6:30pm, Sunday 7:00am - 9:15am, Individual sessions - morning and afternoons before and after academy sessions.)

Relevant qualifications, such as a basketball coaching certification, would be highly regarded
