About the role

ABC Boating Sydney is seeking passionate and experienced Boaters to join our team as Boat and PWC (Jet Ski) Licence Trainers. As part of our Trainer team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality training and education to individuals seeking to obtain their recreational boat and personal watercraft licences.

What you'll be doing

Conducting theoretical and practical training sessions for boat and jet ski licence applicants

Assessing trainees' skills and knowledge to ensure they meet the required standards for licensing

Maintaining accurate records of trainee progress and assessment outcomes

Providing feedback and support to trainees to help them successfully complete their licensing requirements

Adhering to all relevant safety protocols and regulations during training sessions

Assisting with the development and improvement of training materials and programs

What we're looking for

Must have - TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent

Extensive experience in recreational boating and personal watercraft operation

Demonstrated expertise in boat and jet ski safety, handling, and maintenance

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively instruct and engage with trainees of all ages and backgrounds.

Skills and experience with Towing, launching, handling and retrieval of trailer boats.

A minimum of a current and valid NSW boat and personal watercraft licence, held for at least three (3) years prior. A Commercial qualification is preferred.

Current Working with Children check for paid employment

National Police check within the last three months.

Your own car suitable for towing trailers up to 2 tonnes ATM.
