Packing Supervisor (2IC) – Yennora, NSW
Permanent Full-Time | $85,000 + Super | Monday to Friday

Our client is seeking a proactive and hands-on Packing Supervisor (2IC) to join their team at their Yennora site. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Operations Manager, this permanent full-time role plays a key leadership part in overseeing daily packing operations and supporting the efficient and safe execution of repacking processes in alignment with business goals.

You will be responsible for supervising the team, managing day-to-day operations, maintaining equipment, and supporting schedule optimisation. Importantly, in the absence of the Packing Manager, you will assume full responsibility for the repacking department, ensuring operational continuity and effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Support, guide, and motivate the packing team while promoting a collaborative and high-performing work environment aligned with company values.

Safety & Compliance: Lead by example in safety practices, conduct safety audits, ensure team adherence to safety protocols, and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Packing Operations Supervision: Oversee daily packing and repack operations, coordinate resources effectively, resolve issues promptly, and ensure production targets are consistently met.

Equipment & Process Management: Maintain packing equipment, contribute to system improvements, and ensure all processes support uninterrupted and efficient operations.

Budget & Cost Control: Monitor costs, manage casual labour spend, and identify opportunities to reduce waste and increase efficiency.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and service providers, addressing any concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to performance improvement projects and support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications & Experience

3–5 years’ experience in repacking, production, or manufacturing environments with a proven leadership track record.

Prior experience in a supervisory or 2IC role is highly regarded.

Proficiency in, or willingness to learn, repack planning and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Office, Deputy, Employment Hero, WMS).

Experience in food production or manufacturing environments will be viewed as a significant advantage.
