OPPORTUNITY

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Account Manager to join our experienced sales team, based on the road and occasionally in the office (based in Melbourne's Inner North). This position is ideal for someone with a background in electrical engineering or technical sales, who is looking to build a long-term career in a business that is critical to Australia’s energy infrastructure. You will play a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with a variety of clients including:

  • Electrical consultants and engineers
  • Electrical contractors and service providers
  • Distributors and integrators
  • Infrastructure operators and end-users

You will receive in-depth product and sales training, work closely with a small team of highly technical professionals, and contribute to the growth and reliability of Australia’s most critical power systems.

DUTIES

  • Develop and manage long-term relationships with new and existing clients to grow service & project sales revenue
  • Identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions using product and service portfolio
  • Work with internal engineering, R&D and support teams to provide technical sales input and solution delivery
  • Deliver compelling proposals, quotes and presentations to consultants, contractors and end-users
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales records through CRM and reporting tools
  • Collaborate with team members to support national sales strategies and ensure cohesive project delivery
  • Attend industry events, site meetings, and client briefings to promote our client's capabilities and build brand presence
  • Provide regular updates and sales forecasts to management
  • Travel interstate as required for client meetings and site visits

CANDIDATE

To be considered for this role, we're seeking two things. (1) Prior B2B (business to business sales experience) and (2) an electrical background; either tertiary qualifications obtained at university or trade qualifications as a Electrician, Fitter etc..

  • Previous experience in sales, account management, or technical customer engagement in the electrical, power, or infrastructure sectors
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Organised and able to manage priorities and client needs in a time-critical environment
  • A team player with a proactive, solutions-based mindset
  • Technically curious and eager to continuously learn complex power and electrical systems
  • A valid Australian driver’s licence
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency (mandatory due to defence sector involvement)
