About the Department
An agency charged with the responsibility for protecting Australia's natural resources and to develop and implement policies and programs that ensure Australia's agricultural, fisheries, food and forestry industries remained competitive, profitable and sustainable.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
- Manage and coordinate communications for up to ten concurrent projects.
- Synthesize and disseminate complex information across all diagnostic reform initiatives.
- Ensure consistency and alignment of messaging across all projects.
Internal and External Communications:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies.
- Maintain high standards of internal and external communications.
- Prepare and distribute press releases, newsletters, and other communication materials.
Change Management:
- Integrate change management best practices into communication strategies.
- Focus on driving adoption and internal engagement.
- Support organisational change initiatives through effective communication.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication between project teams and stakeholders.
- Address and resolve any communication-related issues.
Content Creation:
- Create and manage content for various communication channels, including social media, websites, and internal platforms.
- Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with organisational goals.
Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies.
- Provide regular reports on communication activities and outcomes.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proactive and adaptable to changing priorities.
EL1 hourly rate contract, 12-months + possible extension
Can be located nationally across Australia
