Randstad are seeking immediate applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Electrical Project Manager within a leading mining and resources organisation. Due to ongoing asset upgrades to improve project performance, this exciting contract opportunity is available.

You will provide effective technical expertise and engineering governance to a range of small scale projects.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans for capital projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards
  • Manage project stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, and external vendors
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, develop contingency plans, and track progress effectively
  • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Implement and maintain project management methodologies and best practices
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular project updates and reporting
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience project managing brownfield capital projects within an underground mining environment
  • Previous experience with control systems
  • Knowledge of electrical design, installation, and commissioning processes
  • Strong understanding of mining operations, equipment, and regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in project management software and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement
  • Highly technical and detailed
  • Energetic with a positive, can-do attitude

Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role and preference will be given to those with mining experience. Take this opportunity to secure a rare Adelaide based 6 month contract role, with weekly site travel.
