The North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency (NAAJA) is seeking a dedicated Intensive Case Manager to join our Throughcare team and work directly with young Aboriginal people navigating the NT Youth Justice System.

About the Role:

NAAJA Throughcare provides strengths-based, trauma-informed, culturally safe support to Aboriginal young people who are on remand or sentenced. As an Intensive Case Manager, you'll:

🔹 Manage a caseload of 10–12 young participants

🔹 Support them pre- and post-release from detention

🔹 Reconnect them with family, culture, and community

🔹 Guide them to break cycles of offending and build brighter futures

🔹 Collaborate with families, agencies, and service providers to develop and implement tailored case management plans

What You’ll Bring:

✔ Strong experience in youth justice, case management, or related support roles

✔ Deep understanding of the challenges facing incarcerated Aboriginal youth

✔ Commitment to cultural safety and working respectfully with Aboriginal families

✔ Knowledge of NT youth justice and detention systems

✔ A team-oriented, reflective and compassionate approach

Must-Haves:

✔ Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)

✔ Satisfactory criminal history check

✔ No history of disqualification from legal employment
