Position title: OSHC & Vacation Care Director

FTE/Hours per Week: 37.5 hours per week

Role Details:

St Francis Xavier's Catholic School is seeking an experienced, dedicated, student-focussed Director for our OSHC and Vacation Care programs. The Director will provide a safe, friendly and stimulating environment for children 4-12 years of age in Before and After School Care and Vacation Care.

OSHC opening hours during school terms:

Monday to Friday - 7:15am - 9:00am and 3:05pm - 6:00pm

Essential Selection Criteria:

An ongoing commitment to support, uphold and contribute to the Catholic ethos of the school.

Approved qualification for working with children over preschool age as listed on the Australian Children's Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) website.

A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their individual needs.

Responsible, as Director, for the overall management, operation, and administration of a large OSHC/Vacation Care service of 80 or more children. This includes management of administrative and staff records and functions, financial accountability and budget preparation and review (ie formulation and evaluation of budgets), WHS, and other applicable regulatory and statutory requirements.

Demonstrated experience in management and leadership of staff, financial management and administration, planning and evaluation, marketing and liaison.

High-level organisational skills, ability to plan, problem-solve, prioritise and proactively manage time effectively, demonstrating a high degree of initiative, discretion and capacity to program own work and be responsible for own outcomes.

Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.

Competently work without supervision, as well as work effectively as a member of a team.
