Mill Operative wanted for Bridgewater Manufacturer

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Mill Assistant to join our Bridgewater based client. In this role, you will be integral to our clients' milling operations, ensuring that their products meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. You will assist in various aspects of milling and mill support operations, contributing to the smooth and efficient running of our clients' mill.

Primary Objectives:

• Assist in all aspects of milling to produce products to the appropriate standard and ensure availability as required.
• Support mill operations to handle, store, dehull, and produce products to meet customer and company requirements.
• Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Support:
  Assist in milling and support operations, ensuring grain is cleaned, conditioned, and stock levels are maintained to avoid production delays.
• Quality Control:
  Perform tests and checks, adjusting equipment settings as necessary to maintain quality standards.
• Maintenance:
  Support grain transfer, mill start-up, shutdown, and maintenance activities. Ensure all equipment and the mill site are maintained to high standards.
• Record Keeping:
  Maintain accurate records of production, maintenance, cleaning, grain cleaning, and conditioning. Keep samples of all raw materials, finished products, and by-products.
• Hygiene and Safety:
  Ensure allocated cleaning tasks are completed to maintain good hygiene and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. Uphold WH&S and Food Safety standards at all times.
• Customer Service:
  Provide superior customer service and support, ensuring that customer needs are met promptly and effectively.
• Team Collaboration:
  Work flexibly as part of a team, participating in regular meetings and training programs. Liaise with management to develop best practices and procedures.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of business systems, processes, and products. Ensure company policies are effectively applied in the workplace.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience in milling or a related field is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of WH&S and Food Safety standards.
