About the role:

This full-time position will participate in all activities related to the operation of the Log yard and entire outdoor area. We are seeking a mechanically minded individual to perform a variety of operational functions for the Log yard team.

This position is required to work across Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:06pm and 10:00am – 6:06pm.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Operating Gantry Crane;
• Operating Chipper Crane;
• Maintaining equipment, sharpening chipper knives and chainsaw chains;
• Machine maintenance and inspections, through pre-start checks, general fault finding and monitoring flow rates;
• Operating the Loader;
• Operating a chainsaw;
• General housekeeping.

To be successful in the role:

• Experienced Bridge and Gantry Crane Operator – CB class High Risk Licence, or willingness to undergo on-site training;
• Experience and licenced in Log yard operations, operating machinery; Cranes, Loader, Chainsaw;
• Be mechanically minded;
• Have good communication skills;
• Able to work in a small team environment and take individual initiative;
• Be safety conscious, follow safety procedures and be mindful of workplace hazards for yourself and others;
• Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
