The Opportunity

The business is an industry leader in the consumer products sector with a Queensland head office. With a strong reputation for being at the forefront of their industry, the finance team is looking for a strong financial accountant to join the Group function as they expand.

This is a broad Financial Accountant role at the group level. You will assist with the fixed assets, capital and project accounting of the group, as well as get involved with ad hoc projects and closing off the month end.

The Challenge

• Co-ordination of the completion of month end, particularly across fixed assets, projects and capital expenditures.
• Co-ordination of the completion of monthly financial reconciliations including all balance sheet reconciliations together with necessary supporting documentation
• Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and journal entries are in accordance with the Group policy
• Assist with the monthly/annual/periodic reporting requirements
• Support and engage with the business units commercial/operations teams
• Supporting the resolution of issues with business process knowledge and identifying process improvements
• Assist the Finance Manager with ad hoc projects and tasks

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• You have recently completed your CA at a reputable Audit firm or have completed your CA /CPA in a large corporate
• Demonstrate an understanding of financial accounting principles and analysis tools
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication with various stakeholders and strong interpersonal skills
