About the role

Edge Greenkeeping is seeking a Horticulturist to join our small team based in Mosman, NSW. You will be playing a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the gardens and landscapes across beautiful Mosman. This is an exciting opportunity for a person who enjoys working outdoors and has an eye for detail. We are looking for someone to utilise their experience in horticulture or someone early in their horticulturist career who is motivated to learn. We are a team that enjoys what we do with a good work-life balance. We will offer flexible hours for the right person, full-time or part-time.

What you will be doing

• Carrying out all aspects of garden and landscape maintenance. This includes mowing, mulching, pruning, spraying, trimming and weeding.
• Monitoring and maintaining the health and condition of many public gardens. This includes identifying and treating diseases or pests affecting plants.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with our clients’ requirements.
• Maintaining accurate records related to garden and landscape maintenance activities.

What we are looking for (desirable, not essential!)

• Formal qualification in horticulture, landscaping or a similar field.
• Understanding of pest management plant care, soil management, and identification of certain weeds
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work both autonomously and independently but also as part of a team as needed.
• A valid, unrestricted driver's licence
• White card or an ability to get one before starting in the position.
• Friendly and polite person.
