Australasian Council of Auditors-General
Posted 6 days ago
The Australasian Council of Auditors-General (ACAG) Training Coordinator is responsible for the organisation, promotion and facilitation of the annual ACAG education and training activities conducted for performance auditors employed by ACAG members. This is a contract position estimated at around 23 days of work per annum.
ACAG is a membership-based, not for profit, unincorporated association established by Auditors-General. ACAG Membership includes the Auditors-General of jurisdictions in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea.
ACAG’s purpose is to promote and strengthen public sector audit in Australasia through leadership, collaboration, engagement, advocacy and peer support.
One of ACAG’s key objectives is to coordinate educational, training and professional development activities that will contribute generally to an Audit Office’s performance. ACAG funds a Training Coordinator to coordinate and lead delivery of the Introduction to Performance Audit Methodology workshop held twice a year; coordinate advanced performance audit training, and coordinate performance audit practice sharing events for ACAG offices.
The ACAG Training Coordinator reports to the Executive Director, ACAG and will be appointed as a contractor for a three-year period. The contractor will be paid at a daily rate of AUD $1200 and can work from any location in Australia or New Zealand.
The ACAG MS Teams site is the primary vehicle for communication. There are up to two face-to-face training activities held each year, hence the Training Coordinator will be expected to travel to attend these two (five-day) trainings sessions per annum.
ACAG’s performance audit training addresses a gap in the market, creates consistency in performance audit methodology, builds networks across ACAG member offices and enables knowledge transfer between performance auditors.
