We’re looking for a proactive and adaptable Senior HR Advisor to support a diverse workforce across 12 sites, including professional and technical employees. You’ll work closely with managers, guiding them through people processes, coaching them on best practices, and ensuring HR compliance.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the HR Director, with dotted-line support from two HR Managers, this hands-on role will see you involved in:
Employee Relations & Coaching
- Manage ER cases (5-6 at any time), including performance management, misconduct, Workcover claims, and return-to-work processes.
- Coach managers on complex people matters, helping them navigate terminations, investigations, and disciplinary procedures.
- Draft letters and documentation to support employee processes.
HR Strategy & Business Partnering
- Support business leaders with workforce planning, compensation reviews, and engagement initiatives.
- Drive change management projects, including acquisitions and site relocations.
- Travel interstate or to New Zealand (~once a month) to engage with teams and provide on-the-ground HR support.
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure policies align with legislative requirements and business needs.
- Analyse HR metrics and provide insights to improve decision-making.
You'll bring:
- 3-4 years generalist HR experience – ideally currently at an Advisor level.
- Employee relations expertise – experience managing investigations and coaching leaders through processes.
- A flexible and responsive approach – able to juggle multiple priorities and work within a matrix structure.
- An analytical mindset – comfortable with data and reporting, with solid Excel skills.
- Workcover & WHS knowledge – experience supporting return-to-work processes and investigations.
- A grounded and commercial approach – balancing compliance with business needs.
