Our client is a renowned vocational education and training institution - they are developing a new flagship cloud campus which will be a world leading educational hub; facilitated through digitally enabled learning and innovation spaces

The Digital Transformation is supported by the PMO by providing governance, management artefacts, processes and assurance to ensure effective program delivery and support of various governance boards

Job Description:

The institute is looking for a detail oriented and strategic Master Scheduler to oversee and optimise their scheduling processes across multiple projects - leveraging expertise in project management methodologies to ensure that resources are allocated efficiently and deliverables are met on time.

The Master Scheduler will support the Cloud Campus Program Team to setup and manage the integrated program schedule, resource pool, milestone reports and provide general administrative support to the PMO.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a master Program schedule that aligns with organisational priorities and resource availability.
  • Collaborate with project managers and cross functional teams to ensure accurate planning and execution of project timelines.
  • Utilise scheduling software to track project progress and identify potential bottlenecks.
  • Implement best practice in scheduling methodology to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular schedule reviews and updates - communicating changes to stakeholders effectively.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving project workflows and timelines.
  • Ensure the seamless and transparent tracking of Program and project activities.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5years experience in scheduling or project management within a complex organisational environment.
  • Knowledge of program management processes and procedures - particularly the ability to run and administer third party application systems designed to support the PMO.
  • Proven abilities and experience in the development of detailed, complex program schedules and delivery of training and processes to support the use of established schedules.
  • Practical experience working with technical teams delivering digital systems and reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Relevant qualifications and experience such as PRINCE2, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) etc.
  • Proficiency in the use of project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or similar), strong command of MS Excel for data analysis and ability to use data visualisation tools for presenting scheduling insights.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and diverse business relationships - including with senior stakeholders,
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
