About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced and technically proficient Principal Engineer to lead the design and implementation of service domain architectures for enterprise-scale applications

You will play a pivotal role in building cloud-native solutions using TypeScript (Node.js), championing microservices best practices, and driving engineering excellence in a complex and regulated financial services ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and lead the development of scalable, secure, and reliable microservices in a service domain context using TypeScript.

Design and implement cloud-native solutions hosted on AWS, leveraging Lambda, Aurora PostgreSQL, and MSK (Kafka).

Collaborate closely with architects, product managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate business needs into robust technical designs.

Promote and enforce engineering best practices including CI/CD (via GitHub Actions), code quality, automated testing, and performance tuning.

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams, enabling upskilling and continuous improvement.

Contribute to architectural reviews, solution design sessions, and long-term technology strategy aligned with standards.

Ensure full compliance with security, regulatory, and data privacy mandates relevant to financial institutions.

Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks and contribute to continuous delivery cycles.

Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (advantageous)

Required Qualifications & Skills

12+ years in software engineering, with at least 5+ years in technical leadership or principal engineer roles.

Expertise in service domain architecture, REST APIs, and microservices.

Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core and/or TypeScript (Node.js preferred).

In-depth understanding of AWS cloud services, particularly in serverless environments.

Experience working with event-driven systems and asynchronous integration (e.g., Kafka).

Solid grasp of DevOps practices, including CI/CD automation and infrastructure-as-code.

\Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum environments in large enterprise or regulated industries (financial domain experience is a plus).

Experience with frontend frameworks using TypeScript

Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Service Mesh architectures.
