The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.

A new role awaits

We are seeking a skilled APS5 End User Computing Administrator for an exciting opportunity to join the NDIA’s Agency ICT Services Branch.

The Agency ICT Services Branch provides essential technology services and support to NDIA staff and partners. The branch manages the relationship with Services Australia and other external ICT service providers within the agreed service levels.

Tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Providing technical support to end users for end user computing (EUC) and Microsoft 365 systems.
  • Assisting in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving user issues related to email, calendar, document collaboration and other Microsoft 365 functionalities.
  • Assisting with the setup and configuration of user devices, including laptops, virtual desktops, and mobile devices, for a seamless user experience.
  • Assisting in the administration of Microsoft Intune for device management, including enrolment, configuration profiles, application packaging and deployment.
  • Monitoring system performance, usage trends, and service health of all End User Computing systems.
  • Collaborating with the ICT service desk team to address escalated user issues and provide advanced troubleshooting support for End User Computing issues.
  • Assisting in maintaining documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for all End User Computing environments.

In this role, you will demonstrate technical skills as End User Computing Administrator and experience providing professional technical advice. You will possess effective people skills to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders. You will have the zeal to learn new processes, systems and knowledge and put your knowledge to support the wider team.

You will exhibit a positive contemporary attitude to people with disability and have a high-level understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals.

The following will be highly regarded:

  • Demonstrated technical skills as End User Computing Administrator.
  • Experience providing professional technical advice.
  • Excellent people skills to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn new processes, systems and knowledge quickly.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

While this role is ideally performed from Deakin ACT, Geelong VIC, Midland WA, Brisbane QLD, remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
