As an Associate Project Manager/Business Analyst, you'll be an integral part of a team that leads the successful delivery of complex, time-sensitive, and multidisciplinary projects. Working alongside Senior Project Managers and Project Managers, you'll gain hands-on experience managing projects from the ground up, while sharpening your strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

In this dynamic position, you'll do more than track timelines and budgets, you'll dig deep to understand business needs, gather and analyze data, and translate insights into actionable plans that drive real improvements. From facilitating workshops and managing project documentation to identifying risks and keeping stakeholders informed, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects run smoothly and deliver meaningful results.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide support to Senior Project Managers and Project Managers in the delivery of complex, time pressured or multidisciplinary projects.
  • Assist in project planning by outlining project tasks, setting deadlines, and identifying task responsibilities.
  • Monitor project progress and provide support to resolve any issues or variances to schedules that arise.
  • Assist in identifying potential risks and issues.
  • Provide administrative support including assisting in communications to stakeholders.
  • Develop project documentation, including but not limited to: - timelines, milestone schedules, risk and issues registers and communication plans.
  • Facilitate project working group forums and schedule steering group forums as required.
  • Coordinate project activities and ensure tasks are completed according to the project schedule.
  • Gather and document business needs through interviews, workshops, and analysis of existing systems.
  • Prepare training and support documentation and materials where process changes have been identified and implemented.
  • Engage with key stakeholders at the working group level to ensure clear understanding and gain agreement of project goals, timelines, resource requirements and deliverables.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and foster strong working relationships.

Requirements for success

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in project management, business management or related discipline or working towards.
  • Project Certification or working towards.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in project management.
  • Understanding of project management methodology and project life cycle.
  • Broad understanding and exposure to various project methodologies.
  • Ability to think strategically and see the big picture and align project goals with organisational strategy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information and expectations clearly to team members and stakeholders.
  • Robust analytical skills and the ability to display attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to handle changing priorities and evolving project requirements.
  • Demonstrated advanced competency in the Microsoft Office suite of products.
