About the Role

The Clinical Operations Manager, Community Services, leads the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care by managing clinical governance, quality systems, and continuous improvement across VRSLC’s Home Care and Veterans Home Care services. This role ensures compliance with aged care standards while supporting and guiding the Community Services team to uphold excellence in care for the ex-service community.

This is a newly created position.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Oversee quality, safety, and risk management systems by monitoring incidents, audits, complaints, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with Aged Care standards and legislation.

Provide leadership in clinical governance, supporting evidence-informed practice, coordinating professional development, and fostering innovation and change management across Community Services.

Manage accreditation processes, contribute to strategic quality planning, and deliver accurate reporting on quality and safety performance to the Executive General Manager and relevant committees.

Travel across various Melbourne Metropolitan sites will be required.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will be a strong leader and collaborator with a long term and strategic vision for a sustainable future.

You will also have:

Current and ongoing registration as Division 1 Nurse with AHPRA with no restrictions.

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage clinical teams in aged care settings.

Proven experience in clinical risk management, quality systems, and comprehensive knowledge of the Aged Care Act, Quality Standards, and related legislation.

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Passion for improving clinical care for older people

Computer literacy with emphasis on Microsoft Office, internet and emails

Current full driver’s license and ability to drive and willingness to travel regularly between VRSC sites.
