The Director - Governance, Risk and Audit plays a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Director - Organisational Performance in leading the governance, integrity, risk, audit, and freedom of information functions across the department. This role is central to the effective implementation of Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing Legislation and provides strategic direction to ensure DWER operates in compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
In this role you will engage and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, government agencies and partners to deliver respectful and well-informed outcomes. You will be responsible for ensuring the department has appropriate mitigation strategies and champions a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement.
