About the Role

Based in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, this full-time leadership role reports to the Manager of Health & Community Safety. You'll manage daily ranger operations, lead a motivated team, and ensure compliance with local laws and community standards.

Key responsibilities:

Lead and supervise Ranger and Admin staff

Oversee operations of the animal management facility

Respond to public enquiries and community complaints

Prepare budgets and manage team resources

Review and maintain procedures, reporting, and investigations

Provide advice and enforce compliance with local laws and legislation

What You’ll Bring

5+ years of ranger services experience

Leadership experience in regulatory or law enforcement settings

Experience with budget management and local government operations

Strong animal handling and conflict-resolution skills

ROCS (Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills) or similar

Firearms handling experience and current Corporate Firearm Licence

Senior First Aid certification

Current WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
