Level 6 - $118,743.47* per annum + Housing Assistance and Utilities Support
*increasing to $122,693.21 per annum as of 1st July 2025
The Role
Working on a Permanent, Full-Time basis, the Coordinator Sports and Facilities is responsible for the following:
- Relationship Management: Maintaining and enhancing relationships with facility and reserve users to implement strategies to improve service levels.
- Collaboration: Working with leaders from various directorates to foster continuous improvement.
- Event Coordination: Manage sports and community events, in addition to other initiatives supported by grants and sponsorships.
- Leadership: Lead and support the sports facilities and recreation team, including on-call responses.
- Communication: Confidently communicate complex matters, tailoring the approach to the audience.
- Liaison: Work with sporting clubs, community groups, and internal departments on asset improvement and policy implementation.
- Booking Oversight: Oversee the booking processes for community spaces and facilities.
- Project Facilitation: Lead project teams in developing and executing facility-related strategies.
This role coordinates service delivery for community facilities and reserves to maximise usage to ensure user satisfaction.

Work Related Requirements
The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- Qualification in a relevant discipline such as Sport and Recreation, Facility Management, Facility Planning and/or relevant experience in a similar role
- Current Working with Children Check
- National Police Clearance
- Current 'C' class drivers license
- Rights to work in Australia
