Site Reliability Engineer
The Onset

If you’re reading this, good news, AI hasn’t replaced you yet. And in this job, it never will.
That’s especially true if you’re the kind of person who joined the Engineering Society, made the Dean’s List, built side projects for fun, and always wanted to work with people as sharp as you.
And if you’re not interested in being another cog in the machine, stuck maintaining someone else’s legacy spaghetti. Then keep reading.
While some companies are cutting back, this team is doubling down. Not just on tech, but on reliability.
Why? Because when you’re expecting to triple your user base over the next three years (and already operating at global scale), resilience isn’t optional. It’s a strategic priority from the top down. The CEO said it best:
"Reliability isn't a cost. And it's not a support role. It's an integral strategy for customer satisfaction & retention."
That mindset has real backing here, with a full Site Reliability Engineering team led by a former Google SRE.
This is your chance to learn from people who’ve built reliable systems at massive scale. No gatekeeping. No firefighting 24/7. There’s no on-call work. You’ll get space to explore, build, and grow, with mentorship baked into the team culture.
So what kind of environment are we talking?
- Cloud-native tech: Over 1000 microservices across AWS and GCP, built with modern patterns (event-driven architecture, platform ops model).
- Healthy team size: Big enough for support, small enough for you to make a visible impact.
- Hybrid work model: 2 days a week in the office. Flexible hours. No clock-watchers.
- Direct access to leaders: You’ll get face time with the CTO, VP Eng, and key squads. And they actually want your input.
What will you be working on? You’ll help the business answer one of its most important questions:
What happens when we scale, and how do we keep things reliable when we do?
This includes:
- Chaos Engineering Workshops: Hosted with Dynatrace. Yes, you'll get to break things. And yes, there are prizes.
- AI-first reliability: You’ll experiment with using AI tools to improve reliability. If your ideas work, they’ll get investment. Real freedom, real backing.
And there’s more: the team is also hiring an SRE Manager whose only job is to grow and upskill the team. That alone should tell you the kind of culture this is.
What background do you need? You might be early in your SRE journey, or a SWE / DevOps Engineer looking to go deeper into reliability. You might be someone who’s always chased performance, uptime, and scale, even if it wasn’t officially your job title.
We’re not looking for perfection. We’re looking for potential. If you’re bright, driven, and care deeply about good engineering, this could be your launchpad.
