About the role
Hartford College is seeking a part time / full time (4 to 5 days a week ) fixed term contract (6-9 months) Teacher to manage our Diverse Learning function and teach English and HSIE for years 8-9. Ability to teach across other subject areas would be preferable. The position will have scope for growth and will be instrumental in developing programs.
What you'll be doing
Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons to support diverse learning needs
Plan and implement curriculum-aligned lesson plans and assessments
Provide individualised support and guidance to help students reach their full potential
Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and refine teaching strategies
Participate in extracurricular activities and school events
Maintain detailed student records and provide regular feedback to parents/guardians
What we're looking for
Relevant teaching qualifications and experience in the secondary education sector
Strong background in English and the ability to teach diverse learners
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents and colleagues
Proven ability to create and implement differentiated lesson plans and assessments
Passion for nurturing student growth and supporting their overall wellbeing
Collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous professional development
