About the Role:

This pivotal role is dedicated to cultivating pristine and healthy local environments while translating awareness and dedication into impactful actions. By collaborating closely with our community and stakeholders, we aim to mitigate and reverse the adverse effects, pressures, and threats on both our built and natural surroundings

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Conduct inspections of registered food premises, cooling towers, and infection-prone sites, ensuring legal compliance.
• Oversee inspections of onsite sewerage management systems, maintaining a strict schedule.
• Drive tailored environmental health promotion and education programs for the community.
• Initiate and execute sustainability-focused actions to advance Council and community sustainability.

About You:

• A degree in Environmental Management or related field.
• Proven experience in developing effective environmental education materials and programs.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A valid Class C driver's license.
• Strong interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration.

Desirable:

• Prior experience in local government.
• Sound knowledge of and solid experience in current environmental health issues and experience in the development of strategies and policies related to the environmental health field of work.
