The Canberra and Region Visitors Centre (CRVC) is seeking an experienced manager with proven leadership skills and experience managing a business/service facility. The Director of the CRVC leads and manages all activities related to the operations of the CRVC. The position is required to manage all staff, the volunteer program, budget and expenditure for centre operations. It is required to engage with local industry stakeholders to promote the services offered through the visitor's centre.

VisitCanberra leads the ACT and capital region tourism industry to create and implement a range of marketing and partnership programs that aim to grow the value of tourism to the ACT economy. VisitCanberra also provides visitor services through the public facing Canberra and Region Visitor Centre (CRVC) at Regatta Point.

To be successful in this role, you will have proven organisational skills and experience in operational management, overseeing people, budgets and resources to deliver organisational outcomes. You will also be an exceptional communicator, with the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:

Knowledge of the ACT tourism industry.

Current Australian driver’s licence.

Willingness to respond to after hour’s emergency/security calls.

Note: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
