Wholesome Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in a sub-contractor role. We are a fast-growing company with support services offered throughout the Moreton Bay Region and a capacity-based disability centre opening in Caboolture in March. This role involves providing personalised care and assistance to individuals with disabilities to help them live independently and participate actively in their communities.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Facilitating and participating in recreational, social, and educational activities to promote client wellbeing
• Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring they receive the support and services they need
• Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records
• Collaborating with family members, healthcare professionals, and other support services to deliver coordinated care
• Required capacity for overnight / sleepover shifts on a weekly basis
• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

What we're looking for

• Capacity for overnight / sleepover shifts on a weekly basis is essential
• ABN as an Individual Sole Trader Required
• A Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a related field is advantageous
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a community-based setting is highly regarded
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and empathise with clients
• A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Availability on a recurring basis to take on set shifts each week - varying hours available to suit each support workers individual capacity and needs
• A current driver's licence and reliable transportation
• A current NDISWC and Working with Children Check
