Lead Electrician – Field Manager Operations

My client delivers safety and peace of mind through the expert installation and maintenance of smoke alarm systems for the real estate industry. Locally owned and operated since 2016, they partner with property managers across Southeast Queensland to make smoke alarm compliance simple, efficient, and stress-free.

They seek a licensed Electrician with strong leadership skills to guide and support our dedicated team of field electricians and technicians.

The Role:

Based at their head office in Hendra and reporting directly to the General Manager, this hands-on leadership role will see you managing and mentoring a skilled team of electricians and smoke alarm technicians across Southeast Queensland.

You’ll split your time between the office and the field (approx. 3 days on-site per week), ensuring our operations run smoothly, safely, and to the highest standards.

Main Responsibilities:

Leading a team of electricians and technicians to deliver quality work, safely and efficiently

Overseeing WHS compliance and championing a strong safety culture

Providing technical support and training on smoke alarm systems and compliance legislation

Managing our fleet of vehicles and ensuring they’re serviced and road-ready

Driving continuous improvement across systems and processes

Supporting other teams to align field operations with overall business goals

Handling inventory and supplier relationships to keep our stock levels just right

Ensuring quotes are handled promptly and professionally

Conducting regular field audits to uphold quality standards

Carrying out electrical work including smoke alarm upgrades and maintenance

Contributing to the wider growth and success of Client

What You Need to Succeed:

A current Electrical Licence

A current Australian Driver’s Licence

Solid knowledge of Southeast Queensland geography

Great communication skills – on the tools and in the office

The ability to connect with people easily and quickly

Proven leadership experience and a team-first attitude

Strong computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn our internal systems

The ability to prioritise and solve problems
