Disability Group Holdings
Posted 6 days ago
Are you a passionate, strategic leader in the disability or health services sector ready to drive innovation and growth? If so, this is your chance to lead a dynamic, values-driven organization at the forefront of the NDIS sector. Join Disability Group Holdings, a leading innovator in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) space, as our new General Manager. This role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in Australia, a negotiable salary package, and the opportunity to make a nationwide impact in disability services.
About the Role
As General Manager, you will take charge of a growing portfolio of subsidiary companies delivering disability services across Australia. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the CFO, CTO, and Board of Directors, you will drive the strategic direction and expansion of Disability Group Holdings. This is a hands-on executive role where you’ll set high-level strategy and lead by example – from forging partnerships to occasionally rolling up your sleeves to support frontline teams and ensure participants receive exceptional care. Key responsibilities include:
Oversee Multiple Subsidiaries: Provide oversight and guidance to multiple subsidiary companies within the Disability Group Holdings portfolio, ensuring they operate cohesively and effectively towards our shared vision.
Drive Growth & Partnerships: Lead business growth and expansion through strategic joint ventures and partnerships. You’ll identify new opportunities, negotiate collaborations, and build alliances that strengthen our services and reach.
Innovate Beyond NDIS: Explore and develop government-funded service models beyond the NDIS. You will seek out new funding streams and innovative programs to diversify our impact and lead the way in disability support innovation.
Lead Multidisciplinary Teams: Inspire and manage multidisciplinary teams across various business units. Foster collaboration and high performance among diverse professionals, from corporate staff to frontline support workers.
Hands-On Leadership: Be ready to step in on the ground when needed – whether it’s supporting frontline operations during critical periods or mentoring managers through challenges. You lead by example, maintaining a strong presence and understanding of day-to-day operations.
About You
The ideal candidate is a visionary leader who is as comfortable strategizing in the boardroom as they are engaging with staff and participants on the frontline. We are looking for someone with:
Experience: At least 5 years’ leadership experience in the NDIS sector or a related field (disability, health, or community services). You understand the complexities of the industry and have navigated them successfully.
Proven Leadership & Growth Focus: A track record of effective leadership and business growth. You have demonstrated ability to develop and execute growth-focused strategies, expand services, or scale organizations while maintaining quality.
Innovative Mindset: The ability to think creatively and drive organizational evolution. You embrace innovation and change, continually seeking better ways to deliver services and improve outcomes.
Team Leadership: Strong people leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams. You excel at building positive team cultures and guiding teams through change.
Passion & Commitment: A genuine passion for participant-first care and making a difference in the lives of people with disability. You share our values of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement and can instill these in your teams.
Why Join Us?
Values-Driven Culture: Join a forward-thinking organization that champions innovation, puts participants first, and strives for continuous improvement in all we do. Our culture is built on creativity, compassion, and excellence.
Flexible Work Environment: Enjoy work-life balance with the ability to work from anywhere in Australia. We offer flexible hours and remote work options to suit your lifestyle, because we value results and wellbeing.
Supportive Leadership: Work closely with a dedicated executive team – you’ll have the strong support of our CEO, CFO, CTO, and an engaged Board of Directors. We believe in collaboration and will empower you to implement your vision.
Competitive Package: We offer an attractive, negotiable salary package for the right candidate, commensurate with your experience and expertise. You’ll be rewarded for the value you bring to our organization.
